Let's share!

Good morning Year 6! I hope you are all well and have adjusted to new 'school' life! Having spent last week in school, I am still adjusting to working at home...has anyone got any tips? To help us stay in touch, I have created a website for us to share our home learning experiences on:  https://padlet.com/cargyle/y6homelearning Have a go at posting a comment or photo - to do this, click/tap on the pink + sign in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. If most of us can successfully use it, Ms Taylor and I will set you some collaborative tasks after the Easter break. Stay safe and keep smiling! Miss A :)

learning this week.

Good afternoon year 6. I hope you are all well and keeping up with some learning everyday. There are new activities on Education City for you to complete this week, along with all the other tasks posted last week. If you have completed everything set (well done you) - please research something that interests you, make a short presentation about it (powerpoint or just a factsheet on word) so that you can share it with myself - and the rest of year 6 - after the Easter break. Don't forget to do some kind of PE everyday. After the Easter break there will be online learning - updated daily - for you to complete.

Free Audiobooks!! and PE

I'm told that David Walliams is putting out a free audiobook per day! I don't know any further details but please give them a look if you fancy a change from the ones I've put on Bug Club for you. https://www.worldofdavidwalliams.com/elevenses/ Also: I know that Joe Wicks is holding a PE session online every morning at 9am - lots of children have challenged their parents to keep up with them! https://www.thebodycoach.com/blog/pe-with-joe-1254.html

It's Spring!!! look for signs

Hello all nature watchers! Signs of spring are already here. Why not spend some of your time at home, looking for changes in nature in your garden or from your window? Sit quietly and look at all the birds flying over your home or visiting your garden. Can you identify them? How often do they visit or fly over? What do you notice about their behaviour? Are some birds bolder than others? Do some birds visit certain parts of your garden? What are they doing? Look to see if some birds are repeating the same journey - this may mean they are making a nest somewhere close by. How does the weather affect the behaviour of the birds? If you put food out for the birds, which food do they prefer and why? You may wish to keep a little nature notebook and record what you observe. Collect a 'Garden List'. when we return to school, we can compare our lists and find out how many different species of bird have visited our gardens. If you can get out in the garden, take a closer look. C
